Photojournalist Gregory Shaver was born and raised in Goshen, Indiana, and currently lives in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, with his wife, two young sons, and more bicycles than he can count.

 

His photos have been published in numerous national publications, including The New York Times; USA Today; O, The Oprah Magazine; and News Photographer Magazine, among others.

 

Greg was awarded Wisconsin Photographer of the Year by the Wisconsin News Photographers Association in 2012. He is a three-time winner of the prestigious National Press Photographers Association Best of Photojournalism Contest, with a first place in Conceptual illustration in 2005, and an honorable mention in the same category in 2003. He also won second place for Domestic News in 2013. He was named Ball State News Photographer of the Year in 1986 while attending Ball State University.   

 

He has worked as a photojournalist at the Journal Times, in Racine, Wisconsin; The Marietta Times, in Marietta, Ohio; The Journal Gazette, in Fort Wayne, Indiana; The Medina County Gazette, in Medina, Ohio; and The Elkhart Truth, in Elkhart, Indiana. He was also a contract photographer with the America 24/7 project.

 

He is available for freelance photography work in the Milwaukee and Chicagoland area.
